For Students Considering a Peak Time Experience

Some of the most prized and sought after skills for success and happiness in school, work and relationships are seldom taught in school or university. Many high school seniors, college-age students and young adults can achieve greater happiness and success by acquiring these transformational skills in a Peak Time experience.

The goal of Peak Time experiences includes helping each student acquire some or all of Six Transformational Skills: Executive Functions, Emotional Intelligence, Mindfulness, Grit, Design Thinking and Flow.

These skills can help foster the ability to think creatively, see opportunities in new ways, find personal clarity and equanimity, resist impulsivity, understand one’s own emotions and the emotions of others, and develop the strength of mind, heart, and will to discover one’s passion and see it through to meaningful purpose.

Peak Time experiences were originally created as unique gap year experiences prior to a student’s entering university. (After all, why take a gap year when you can have a Peak Year?) There are now many Peak Time experience offerings for students in their second semester of high school through college and beyond. They are available as full-time programs for durations of one week to one year and as part-time programs with flexible hours during mornings, afternoons, evenings, on weekends and as intensives during school breaks throughout the year. Individuals participating in Peak Time experiences can do so at our main Learning Center in the New York City’s Flatiron District, and across the US and internationally both digitally and, by special arrangement, in person.

Peak Time experiences are available for the following categories of students:
